The Little Village Garden Project – SUCCESS!
A massive thank you to the wonderful Bertrum House community for all the support given to helping rejuvenate the Little Village Garden. Having raised almost £1000 for Little Village from the Parent Fund and events over the year, last week saw our volunteers go in to transform the space. We have attached some before and after photos to illustrate the magnitude of what was achieved, but wanted to send out a HUGE thank you to all of you for your fundraising efforts and especially to those who gave up a sunny Saturday to give their time – you are all brilliant!
Special thanks go to:
Rosie’s mummy for leading the charge for the nursery class and devising a super race track;
Ben’s daddy for corralling a team of city workers to spend a day clearing the site;
Sophie’s nanny and her fella for creating a fantastic musical wall;
Isaac’s mummy for her planting prowess and bringing her green fingered expert;
Clemmie and James’s mummies for whizzing around and helping with everything;
Clemmie and James’s daddies for constructing, perhaps, the worlds most complicated climbing frame;
Hari’s daddy for transforming the sandpit into a luscious, grass covered ball pen;
and finally the wonderful Bertrum House staff who gave up their Saturday to help!
THANK YOU ALL!
