Healthy habits and hungry bears!
The Pre-Reception children enjoyed learning about the importance of keeping healthy habits this week. They particularly liked going for a medical check-up at the doctor’s office in our role play area. They were also busy blending their sounds together and were very excited to begin reading words. Outside, the children have loved making a batch of ‘baddie stew’ using mud, leaves, sand, petals and water. A delicious concoction indeed!
We’ve had an exciting week in Nursery reading ‘Goldilocks and the Three Bears’. There have been a lot of hungry bears making porridge in the role play area; some fantastic size ordering in the maths area; and we made a delicious pot of porridge to share on Tuesday. I’ve been very impressed with the children’s role play and how they have borrowed ideas and language from the story. Well done!
