Pyjama day fun!
We all enjoyed coming to Nursery in our cosy pyjamas on Thursday to raise money for the Sick Children’s Trust, who are also coming to talk to the children on Tuesday 22nd November. This week Pre-Reception have showcased their budding literacy skills by making great attempts at letter formation. We definitely have some future writers at Bertrum House! Their quick recall for letter sounds has also been impressive and we are happy to hear that the children are enjoying practising these at home. Our theme this week was ‘dinosaurs’ and the children had fun dressing up as dinosaurs and using the dinosaur figurines in imaginative play – several loud roars were heard in the classroom! Nursery had a fabulous time learning about ‘night and day’, particularly enjoying exploring our ‘dark den’. They made fantastic nocturnal animals which we have on display in the classroom. Our pyjama day was lots of fun, with Nursery indulging in a jam sandwich ‘midnight feast’!
